Students write a letter to their future selves promising to change the world.
The first part of being a change maker is learning about the world and figuring out what problems there are. Then we can be creative and use our OPEN MIND, EMPATHY and COLLABORATION skills to make change.
Our kindergarteners already know so much about children’s rights. The first step to making change is education. They might not have created solutions to make sure all kids have rights this year, but we believe they are already on the path to becoming great change makers.
These letters to their future selves reflect all of the incredible work and thinking they did in Kindergarten. They will open them again in 4th grade as a reminder of the hope and change they believed was possible.
